Asia Farm Animal Day (AFAD) was started by the Asia for Animals - Farm Animal Coalition (FAC) in 2020, as an online event dedicated to the plight of farmed animals, and with the aim of bringing together organizations working towards improving the lives of billions of farmed animals. ​
In 2023 and 2024, we co-organized this significant event in collaboration with Animal & Vegan Advocacy (AVA) International, bringing hundreds of global advocates from across Asia and beyond together for an immersive in-person experience.​
2025 onward
Starting in 2025, AFAD will return to its original online format, offering NGOs and the public a platform for awareness and education about farmed animals' sentience, value, and welfare across Asia.​
